Pyramid Solitaire is an interesting variation on the game of solitaire everyone has played a million times on their pc’s. To play pyramid solitaire online is quite easy, but solving the puzzle is not so easy.
The pyramid solitaire game starts with a number of game cards dealt face up in a pyramid shape. The idea with the game is to try and add cards two at a time so that they reach a total of 13.
When you play free pyramid solitaire online you would only be able to play the cards that aren’t covered by other cards. This includes the three cards that appear in the piles of discarded cards at the bottom of the screen.
To clear cards you simple click on the two cards you want to clear in sequence. If the two cards don’t total 13, then you would not be able to remove them. There is one card that you can remove on its own and that is the King, which is valued at 13.
If you get stuck along the way when you play pyramid solitaire online you can deal another three cards. These three cards then go face up into the three piles below your pyramid. To get cards from the deck, just click on the card lying face down at the top of the deck.
To win you need to clear all of the cards in the pyramid. This is however quite difficult so there is a bit of a compromise built into the game. If you score a total of 36 points or more then you can choose to have the cards dealt again. If you don’t get to 36 then it is game over.
When you get cards dealt from the deck of face down cards you will only be able to use them once. If they have all been dealt in a game you wouldn’t be able to re-deal them. If you then get stuck it would also result in it being the end of the game.
Card values in Pyramid Solitaire:
Aces = 1
Jacks = 11
Queens = 12
Kings = 13
The rest of the cards all go on face value.

A crucial ability you need in the game is to think one or two steps ahead. I believe that it is a very good game to play if you want to improve your logic skills.
Your primary goal should be to remove a card where you open up two more cards as often as possible. You will often be faced with the option of either choosing a card that opens one solitary card or opens two cards. In almost all instances it is a better option to remove the card that opens up two cards.
Doing this will help you open up many more possibilities for progression when you play free pyramid solitaire. With more combinations available you increase the likelihood of completing a stage successfully.
When you play the game for the first time you might run into two problems:
1. If you haven’t played pyramid solitaire online too often, you might not be familiar with the values of all of the cards. This might result in you not seeing all of the possible combinations that might be right in front of you. The cure for this problem: play more.
2. The layout of the game works in such a way that it would get more difficult as you get closer to the end of a stage when you play pyramid solitaire.
Once you have worked through these two problems you will be clearing the stages on a regular basis and put up some decent scores. The best way to learn to improve is to play the game on a regular basis.
